Demi Moore is having a really rough few months. First came word that the actress was divorcing Ashton Kutcher (amid rampant rumors of his infidelities) and now, she's been hospitalized for what some describe as "exhaustion."
Is that really what's going on with Demi, or is there more to the story than meets the eye? Anyone who's seen photos of Demi Moore in recent weeks can see that something is up. She looks tired, sure, but she also looks frighteningly thin.
Some tabloid websites claim Demi Moore is suffering from anorexia and "substance abuse issues." I find that easy to believe, just based on the pics I've seen of the 49-year-old recently. If she indeed had some sort of seizure before paramedics were called, something very serious is going on. At least she's now getting the medical care she so desperately needs. Demi's rep maintains that it's "exhaustion," so we'll see what unfolds in coming weeks.
As for the argument that Demi hasn't made a decent movie in a while (and believe me, I've heard it a LOT since this whole story broke), let me set you straight on that: Her performance in 2011's (Oscar nominated) movie Margin Call was outstanding. Demi still gets great roles and this was definitely one of them. Her career seems to be fine, or at least good, so I can't imagine that's the problem. Sadly, she's dropping out of the movie Lovelace - yes, the porn star Linda Lovelace biopic. She was supposed to play Gloria Steinem. Such a shame, because I suspect that would've been a fantastic role for her.
No matter what's wrong, hopefully Demi will get well soon!
