As 2011 draws to a close, I'm taking a little time to reflect on the various train wreck tabloid stories of the year. And yes, while the Kim Kardashian wedding debacle ranks wayyyyyy up there on the Ridiculous Celebrity Behavior Meter, Lindsay Lohan still reigns supreme in my book. Between her arrests, her court appearances and her outright defiance of the law this past year, how can I not put her at the top?
But wait! New reports say Lindsay Lohan's actually behaving herself?! Noooooooooo! Lindsay, you were a lock for Stupidest Celeb of the Year! Why would you want to miss out on that honor?! Apparently, Ms. Lohan is working her tail off at the L.A. County morgue right now. You'll remember that was part of her court-ordered community service? Well it seems that Lindsay is taking her new job very seriously - showing up on time (or even early). Now, she's actually ahead of schedule!
Each month, Lindsay Lohan must completely a dozen 8-hour work shifts at the morgue. In November, she blew everyone's minds by actually working ahead of schedule. TMZ says by November 25, 2011, Lindsay had finished 10 of her 12 court-required shifts there! And it gets better: She's also described as "polite" and..."hardworking"?! Yep, you read that correctly.
Is it possible that all Lindsay Lohan really needed in her screwed-up, deeply troubled, wild-child life was a little structure and routine? Dare I hope that this beautiful, talented starlet has turned a corner and is finally getting her life together? Am I jinxing this by even writing about it? Hope not. Is Lindsay's dedication only designed to keep her out of jail, or is she really starting to "get it?" Let's hope it's the latter. Stay tuned. I'm sure she'll make headlines in 2012, too, but hopefully for all the right reasons...
